About Mimi & Balance Point Yoga
My mission statement for Balance Point Yoga: To teach proper alignment and breathing in Hatha Yoga and inspire students to continue and maximize the effectiveness of their practice to maintain their own balance point of mind and body wellness.
I’ve been practicing Hatha Yoga for 20 years and teaching for 17. My background includes extensive dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Dunham technique, Afro-Haitian and Afro-Brazilian dance. In pursuit of my personal practice I also study, other movement modalities such as HoopDance, as well as Vedanta, Sanskrit, the Bhagavad Gita, nutrition, and all wisdom that leads to health, balance, peace of mind and contentment.
